5.0 REQUIREMENTS
Time: 45 to 60 minutes
Tools: hex screwdriver (2mm), hex screwdriver (1.5mm), hex insert (6mm)
5.1 CONNECTING THE CABLES
• Remove the left motor cover by unscrewing the two screws (one on the left side and one on the back)
• Remove the electronics cover by unscrewing the two screws with the lock-nuts.
• Remove the four screws that hold the electronics and keep them together with their respective black spacers.
• Pull out the old heater cartridge, temp sensor, 5V fan cable from the bottom.
• Insert the two heater cartridges together with their respective sensors and heater cartridges inside the braided sleeve. This part is a bit fiddly, shorten the sleeve and it will expand, making it easier to insert the cartridges from below.
• Connect the new cables as in the figure below.
5.2 ASSEMBLY PRINT HEAD
• Posizionare correttamente la testa di stampa negli assi X e Y e bloccarli.
• Assembly the print head.
5.3 INSTALLING THE 2X HOT ENDS
• Remove the old top plastic bracket and replace with the dual hole Ulticreatr red bracket. Disconnect and reconnect the wires the fans accordingly.
• Unscrew the two screws that keep the bottom aluminium piece together with the cooling rib. Remove the fan and install it on the new bottom aluminium bracket. The countersink holes must be facing down.
• Screw the bottom aluminium bracket together with the cooling rib with the two countersunk screws.
• Insert the T-RING and the coupler on each Ulticreatr 2X hot end.
• Put the two isolators inside the two holes of the aluminium bracket and screw in the heater blocks completely. Then go back ¾ of a revolution. This is needed to do a correct calibration.
• Insert the new spring and close the whole aluminium assembly with the two screws on top.
5.4 INSTALLING THE COOLING FANS
• Screw the extra 25mm fan on the heatsink with one 20mm Phillips screw.
• Remove the part cooling fans from the old fan bracket and install them on the new optimized cooling bracket. Use the eight new phillips M2,5x14mm screws.
• Insert the “parallel connection” cable in the braided sleeve. This is needed to connect the two 25mm fans to cool the print head. Connect the print head cooling fans.
• Screw back the four M3x4 screws that hold the fan bracket.
• Organize the cables.
• Position the bottom part of the print head together with the top part of the print head. Align the holes and tighten the four thumb screws.
• Align the holes and fix using the four long thumbscrews.
5.5 INSTALLING THE UM2+ MATERIAL FEEDERS
• Put the first material feeder in place.
• Allineare il secondo spingifilo con il motore e inseire le due viti lunghe con gli appositi spessori.
• Avvitare il secondo spingifilo al primo.
5.6 INSERTING THE BOWDEN TUBES AND FILAMENT
• Organize the cables and insert them in the braided sleeve. This part is a bit fiddly, shorten the sleeve and it will expand.
• Insert the bowden tubes and the blue clip.
• Applicare the black clips to fix the bowden tube to the braided sleeve.
5.7 CONNECTING THE CABLES TO THE ELECTRONICS
• Connecting the hot end sensors to the electronics.
• Connecting the feeder motors to the electronics.
• Connecting the heater cartridges to the electronics.

• Put the left cover motor in place by screwing to screws (one on the left side and one on the back).
